Getting into ER

Hi everyone,I am currently in a consulting role working in a T1 bank, however the role is mostly PMO related (glorified admin) with slight touch on PM duties. I really really want to get into ER, just wanted to know do factors like age matter? - I am soon to be 28..
For those wondering why i'm in this role... I got sold a dream by my consultancy (they said its similar work to ER) and I took the role during the peak of the pandemic, straight after graduating. I have been pigeon holed into a PMO role and was never told it would be PMO related before I started, the work is not hard by any means, but not challenging at the same time. What are the pathways which will help me get into ER - Appreciate all advice! :) Thanks!

Thank you for your response. After viewing your profile I see that you’re in ER. In your opinion is 27/28 years of age too late to get into SS ER?

I am not in ER anymore. 27/28 is fine.

If you are committed to the profession (of becoming an Analyst,) just know there will be personal sacrifices if you have family.

If you are not, understand your exit options and set yourself a time to accomplish that exit. Look at the sell-side career section: https://dicktoad.substack.com/?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=web&utm_c…
