From Financial Services to Equity Analyst? Is it possible?

Hello. I graduated last year from York University in Toronto, Canada with a bad GPA (2.8). I did not pursue any internships so I graduated with no finance experience asides from my degree. Currently I am working in a call center for a investment fund company and plan to pursue CFA or an MBA. Since I have an abysmal GPA I don't have much hope for a good MBA program. Degroote at Mcmaster has a requirment of a min B- which is roughly a 2.7 so there is that option. I was hoping I could get some direction and suggestions as to how I should proceed. I understand that PE and IB are impossible for me given my horrible background, but would an Equity Analyst position be possible? Appreciate all feedback, thank you.
