I was incredibly pleased with our conversation. As an incoming Restructuring Analyst I was initially drawn to their profile based on his “Q&A: Distressed Debt Hedge Fund Analyst & Top 3 MBA” post and by their wide range of experiences, which span restructuring, M&A, private equity, and distressed debt. Our conversation was primarily focused on how I should be thinking through buyside recruiting, discussing the differences between private equity versus hedge funds, and on how to develop an investors mindset prior to any interviews. Overall, I highly recommend the mentor to anyone who is looking to learn more about the various career paths in finance and how they can position themselves for those roles.

Good Bases

I would've liked it if the model went into more depth regarding cap table and waterfall modelling. Nonetheless, the course, overall, is very good and explains, with a fair amount of detail, how the industry operates.

Great around excel Tools and linking the different statements. Would have like more content on the different statements itself (outside of Excel).

Been on here for a few years. Some forums are interesting and some are not.
