5 years ago I was intern in a back office role that was miserable. I didn’t even know the type of roles that were out there. WSO’s platform and the various podcasts gave me a plan of attack. All of a sudden I felt in control of my career because I had a network of professionals who have gone through it all giving their advice to the young monkeys. You need a mentor in your corner and WSO offers a network of mentors asking questions you didn’t even know you had. As a 2 year community college then extremely non-target public university graduate I reached out to hundreds of people on LinkedIn and took advice given from Patrick Curtis and other members of WSO to break in. I’m in the shadows of the site, but I owe my career to the knowledge gained from lurking.

She responded to my request for career coaching promptly and effectively. I worked with her on two topics: career planning in the short term and in the long term. She gave great insights on both questions from her experience in the infrastructure finance space and answered all of my questions. Overall, the session was a great investment. Thanks!

I really enjoyed this course, the fact that it has videos which guided you through all of the tasks after you have attempted them yourself is really helpful. I thought the speed of the course material was adequate, I knew most of the early lessons but quickly found myself re-learning excel 'best practises' or new techniques which I did not know about.

This course was exactly what I was looking for. An excellent refresher or intro for those looking to prep for VC interviews or get a better understanding of how a VC firm works. The instructions are clear, the examples and templates are excellent.

The mentor had a very thorough understanding of the investment banking recruiting process which helped a lot.

Very helpful session that gave me great feedback on what I am already doing well but definitely where I can improve.

As a practitioner, I didn’t have to do any M&A models. This course helped with understanding how to build and work in an M&A model which is great if you are applying for corporate development jobs or dealing with strategic acquirers in your engagement.

Improvements:
-There can be some pretty bro-esque posts. The mods should work with the OPs to make their posts more appropriate.
-I made a post several years ago, and even though I rarely use the site, occasionally that post receives monkey poop. I don't want to receive an email about a post I made 4+ years ago because I don't care.

I prompt response for the invoice was quite impressive. I was really happy that was a hassle free process. Even the payment process to purchase was very straight forward and welcoming with a preview of topics covered helping me to choose the course that suits me better.
