WSO is a very useful website for students and aspiring finance professionals, but false/biased information exists given that it is a public forum. It is impossible to verify everyone's posts and comments, so using a variety of sources in combination with WSO will be the most helpful.

I checked WSO throughout my finance recruiting process in my undergrad years a lot, and it was one of the most up-to-date and useful sources on interview timelines, when people received offers, compensation, etc. That said, there was a lot of misinformation / biases against certain firms, jobs, locations, etc. that are spread by other students who don't know any better - so learning to filter through this misinformation and using other sources (i.e., real coffee chats) should be best practice.
