Informational Interview
As a STEM background, quant-focused guy, Chris was the person I needed to learn from. Would be helpful to have a few more people with similar backgrounds as him

This is hands-down the best course I have seen for Excel, I've gone through I couple and could definitely recommend it to anyone that is preparing for a carer in Investment Banking in particular. I go back to it to refresh my memory and get up to speed. I am also going to re-do the whole thing soon before I hit the desk in a month. If you do that before going to Business School, you will be golden because most programs do not focus on teaching you to be fast with excel, which is essential before you land your first high-finance position. Highly recommend!

WSO is a hero we have but don’t deserve
One of a kind hub/home base to young and mid career finance professionals and such. 1) Interview guides very full 300 pg on average, helps with useful wording to young kids who have no clue how to verbalize most of something they don’t even understand to be doing 2) Networking - scared to cold LinkedIn network? How about for $75 you can buy 30 min with MD or Associate at GS,JP,BAofA, Blackstone etc. and establish a friendship and a solid network into the future (and select out of a few thousand of these mentors/ networks) this in itself is what makes WSO out of the ball park amazing 3) modeling courses I found them well put together and to the point; now I give a lot of respect to BIWS, Wallstreetprep and others who specialize in these courses and use all of these while at work. 4) office hours with f*#^ng Patric blood and bones on YouTube (not more than 30 people visiting these sessions) and also Podcast Interviewing real people about their careers whom again you can for the most part ask to connect with and establish a network. Repeating myself, Networking is the toughest part of the business and the fact that WSO’s community history is tight with current professionals out there is what makes it stand out.

Great for entering an industry
I was a noob trying to enter the finance industry. My resume was pretty JV and these guys helped me get across the finish line. It still needed a fair bit of work to get my foot in with some of the BB firms, but, as this was my first job right out of undergrad, I can’t complain. Would do it again.

Used this service ~3 years ago and was matched up with a guy @ a HF who went back and forth with me a couple times on the updated resume. I think this is one of my least favorite things to do - talking about myself/current job... so having someone in the space review/help out was a huge plus and well worth the $. I ended up moving to a FO role - and while I don't think my updated resume really played a huge factor, I was confident that it was "up to snuff" vs other candidates with "more pedigree" and was one less thing to worry about during the process. I'll be using it again in the future for sure.

Great Website, Excellent Users
WSO is a phenomenal website for those looking to break into a Wall Street career. I personally had no exposure to anything in the realm of investment banking other than WSO, but the commentary on the benefits and detriments of a career in IB and the wealth of knowledge from users helped me a ton. I frequently checked WSO while recruiting to learn where processes were to inform my own networking, and for a break from the seriousness of job hunting. Hearing more about people's real experiences in the industry from the site helped me determine a career in financial markets was right for me, and would certainly recommend it to any others with the same interests.

I am writing to acknowledge the mentorship and coaching from my mentor
I am writing to acknowledge the mentorship and coaching from my mentor. He truly helps me in 2 aspects

He showed me how to prepare for the LBO model test & case study. As a result, I landed 2 offers with one from a F500 Corp Dev team and another Associate offer from a MM PE fund
He also mentored me on pros and cons working at Corp Dev. vs MM PE fund, so I can make the appropriate decision for my own career

He is a truly fantastic mentor and coach :)
