WSO is a great forum to familiarize yourself with the competitive landscape in PE and investment banking. The anonymity allows for a "no holds barred" exchange of insider perspectives that is both helpful and extremely entertaining.

A few years ago when I first started using, WSO was a place of forums and community discussions for candid discussions of Street happenings--culture, work/life balance, career progressions, and general questions. This was a great place to turn--especially while still in college or first starting out. However, now that seems to have fallen to the wayside in favor of monetizing the site through courses and pay/submit-to-view salary info etc. Understand the website is a business and that the courses are useful, but think that community was a strong pillar of what made WSO great and has now been forgotten--WSO forums are now difficult to find and not even listed at the top of the website. Just a bit disappointed that everything on WSO is now paywalled but hoping will change.

I frequented WSO very regularly as an undergraduate and early on in my career. It proved invaluable as a resource and had a real, significant impact on the path I pursued. I got feedback from members on my resume, advice on choosing internships, advice on choosing my very first full-time job after undergrad, and even advice on grad school. WSO is a great website offering many resources (particularly for young professionals/students) looking to excel in the field of finance. From useful community discussions about different career or educational paths to salary/interview question data points, WSO offers a lot of information to anyone who is willing to look for it. In my opinion, it's unlikely I would be where I am today career-wise had it not been for stumbling upon WSO as a college student and absorbing much of the information and advice which is found on the site. One area where I could see improvement is a sorting option on the forum to further highlight top comments (beyond the banana awards) and hide any which do not add value.

He was very flexible and was willing to do a mentorship session last-minute given my tight schedule. He came to the meeting prepared and provided a very helpful recruiting advice & overview of the growth equity industry. We did not cover everything in an hour, and he was happy to stay a bit longer to cover additional key topics.

Wall street oasis is a great platform for forums and learning up to date information. It was my primary reference point as I began recruiting. There is significant room for improvement within their tutoring program (lack of qualified tutors/mentors) and the company database is incredibly out of date compared to the forums.
