GMAT SC help
Do any of the members here have a suggestion for best sentence correction guide? I've taken the manhattan gmat course, but their SC guide doesn't stick with me. Everything else is money
I'm not sure what it is, but I seem to do well on the MGMAT practice exams, but I suck at the SC in the GMAC official GMAT review book.
Any suggestion would be helpful..taking the test the 26th of this month so I need something pretty quick

Check out the forums on Beat The GMAT, they have a lot of good suggestions and reviews of the various GMAT prep materials.
the Manhattan GMAT SC is considered to bible of SC... honestly, if you can't learn from that book, i don't know what else can really help you.
As judowned stated, there are forums (beatthegmat.com, urch.com, gmatclub.com) that have SC notes posted; however, none of these notes are as comprehensive as teh MG GMAT SC and should be used to learn one-off rules that the GMAT employs.
It's a little weird b/c when I take the MGMAT practice tests I do decent on the SC but do terribly on the SC problems in the GMAC official review
This is why I feel like my grasp on the SC portion is shaky
there's one SC book called Powerprep for sentence correction. I have used it before, and would say it's pretty helpful. But SC in my experience, if you're not a native speaker (which I'm not) is about recognizing the subtle grammar rules and then practice, practice, practice. Anything you read, you should be looking out for the rules.
MGMAT Sentence Correction, Powerscore Sentence Correction, OG 12 and Verbal Review 2nd Edition will overload you with sentence correction. You should be money after that. Just keep practicing.
thanks for the suggestions everyone
I'll def be looking into those
My advice is don't stress the SC on the day of the test. It was owning me all through my studying (seriously was getting half of them wrong), and then by some magic it turned around on test day (99% on the verbal, no idea how that happened, was worried I might have foced a computer error). Try to find your happy place and trust to the GMAT gods to reward your hard work.
^ was just gonna say: this SC thing sounds like a budding (or maybe established) phobia. get rid of it, don't make it into something more than it has to be. that'll ruin your game in other sections/types of questions too.
study hard with mgmat or powerscore, keep things in perspective, relax and, as b school says, trust the gmat gods.
