Yeah, as to why JHU, I’d agree with what ANT has said. Obviously if you’re interested in covering the health care space then you could tie that in somehow. Or if you’re interested in using the degree for some hybrid finance/policy role like Booz Allen consulting, then the DC/Baltimore location is perfect. Point is that people naturally associate Carey with healthcare/med but the program can be used to focus on other roles/industries.
I’d imagine admissions are looking for people who understand that Carey is still in a startup phase. So what does that mean to you? Well, like any program, you will need to network. What type of social/interpersonal roles did you excel in during college? What have you done to show you’re adept at building relationships? Have you ever coached or mentored? If so, talk about how once you graduate and are established in your role, you want to help other Carey students extend the footprint of the school. Go over their mission statement, identify the unique aspects of it, and spin those into your experiences.
