It pioneered the salary data sharing that helped provide equity to everyone from analysts to presidents at different firms. It also remains one of the last places online to get really good, thoughtful advice from people who are actually in the industry and know what's going on. If you're in finance, you should be on WSO.

I find WSO very useful, lots of good information on there and a decent place to chat about industry updates.

I discovered WSO around 18 months ago and honestly it was game changing. I had zero contacts in high finance and so having a resources where you can ask questions about how to get from A to B was fantastic. I’ve probably listened to over 100 podcasts which is just as useful as the forum.

Hopefully in 12-18 months I’ll be able to start giving back to the community!

The mock interview felt really natural (I should know, as I failed some..), Matthew's questions and pace made me think about my answers and put me out of my comfort zone. I find his approach refreshing and help build confidence. One thing he made me realize is that having pre-studied answers, although helpful of course, is no guarentee of a good real interview. Each prospective interview will take place in its own pace, and Matthew rightfully wants the mentees to appreciate this fact. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, he is very kind.
