Wisconsin, Indiana, or Northeastern

I am a senior in high school deciding between UW Madison, IU, and Northeastern. I am direct admit to all three’s business schools and am having a difficult time deciding. I want to go into IB, high finance, or consulting. I would most want to go to UW but am concerned about its reputation. Would it still be possible to make a career there? Thoughts?

Definitely wouldn't pick Northeastern. Those kids don't know the difference between their left and right and haven't seen a solid buy-side exit in decades. Source: was a Husky back in the day and was one of the only finance guys to make it out of the middle market. Between Indiana and Wisconsin, I would say that IU is the better choice from a placement perspective. Look into their workshop programs. Just a warning, they are pretty competitive. Social life at both schools will be great as well, so no worries on that front. A lot of cocaine to go around on both campuses. Source: they used to call me the "bag man" back in the day.

Wisconsin is a great school and our IB program places 30ish kids per year. We are non-target for most firms, but we consistently place at Goldman, Rothschild, Guggenheim, BMO, TD Cowen, and typically send 1-2 kids to many of the major banks. I would say that IU has a stronger IB program, but UW can be a great choice and is still growing.
