range for first year analyst bonuses
What is typically the range for first year analyst bonuses? Like, how low do they go, and how high do they go? I am particularly interested in MM firms (I am a first year at CIBC); however, curious to know about BB and boutiques as well. I've heard from some that the range last year was 70k to 80k for top analysts, with the avg. being 75k. Any info would be great.
Much thanks.
....
60-80 at bulge and other firms that pay street.
top analysts get 60-80 across all banks, or all analysts get between 60-80 within a given bank itself?
all analysts get between 60 and 80. Low 60 high 80.
NOT all analysts get between 60-80. The floor is always 0, although the lowest I can confirm last year was 25k at a bb
any other thoughts/confirmations? Also, what are expectations for this year? Does anyone know about MM firms in particular (even CIBC in particular)?
any normal analyst who shows up and works their 80-100 hrs a week regardless of how shitty will got at least 60. Unless they really f*d up socially.
....
you guys don't know what's it's like in bad years. think 10-25k as a range.
