Coverage Group to ECM/DCM

Currently in a coverage group at a top BB, and looking to potentially lateral to a product group for my associate years. Have no desire to go into private equity and would rather have a consistent career in IB. Think my experience and work ethic in IB could likely transition well, and have done ECM/DCM related deals. Has anyone made this move and can provide insight on the lateral process?
