UBS Post-Merger with CS Updates?
It's looking like UBS' integration of CS is underway. Recently saw that UBS laid off all CS bankers in Spain, a lot CS people have recently changed their LinkedIn to UBS, and that the CS sign finally came down in London. Does anyone have up-to-date insider information on the integration currently?...
Santander hiring dozens more of Credit Suisse bankers as per Bloomberg
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-05-2… Looks like it will be not just senior bankers but even entire teams Good move? How much of CS's business from these teams would they really be able to keep?
Incoming Credit Suisse Intern
I'm currently an incoming Credit Suisse Intern hoping to receive a return offer for next summer. Considering that the firm just got bought by UBS and the CS First Boston deal is probably going to die, what should I do at this point besides trying to re-recruit? Can any UBS or CS banker give some...

Just out from FT. "We are not here to enrich Michael Klein at the expense of our shareholders" - UBS - There goes his pay day lol
UBS Agrees to Buy Credit Suisse for $2bn - Thoughts?
Purchase price represents a fraction of Credit Suisse's $8bn market value, and the Swiss government is forcing it through without a shareholder vote. Seems to me like UBS got a fantastic deal, and I'd be pretty upset if I owned Credit Suisse stock. Any thoughts? Source: Financial Times
UBS in talks to acquire Credit Suisse
What do people think about this? From FT: " UBS is in discussions to take over all or part of Credit Suisse, with the boards of Switzerland’s two biggest lenders set to meet separately over the weekend to consider Europe’s most consequential banking combination since the financial crisis,...
Will UBS acquire Credit Suisse?
JPMorgan Chase analysts led by Kian Abouhossein are among those saying the bank’s troubles are most likely to end in its takeover, probably by UBS. UBS Group and Credit Suisse Group are opposed to a forced combination, even as scenario planning for a government-orchestrated tie-up continues, say...
Credit Suisse First Boston - sustainable?
with all the news going around with CS (especially today), did the news about CS also directly apply to CSFB, or not since they split? CS First Boston SA 2023 lower return rates?
Incoming SA at CS- few days ago they sent out an email essentially recapping plans for CSFB and reassuring incoming SAs that they were committed to the internship program. With that being said, they still need to execute the restructuring plan and it'll likely take some time before they start...
CS to spin off IB into "CS First Boston" and cut 5% of staff globally
"Drawing on its rich heritage across advisory and capital markets, CS First Boston is expected to be more global and broader than boutiques, but more focused than bulge bracket players. The future CS First Boston envisions attracting third-party capital, as well as a preferred longterm partnership...
2024 FT Recruiting Outlook - Incoming CS SA
I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty fucking pissed about the prospect of having to re-recruit after grinding my ass off to get a spot on the street in the first place. Even worse is the fact that market conditions won't seem to be improving any time soon, which will certainly have a negative impact on...

CS buys back $3bn debt. Are incoming FT offers safe for now?
Wondering if this is a sign that everything will indeed be fine? Should I still try to lateral? A tad bit worried after seeing Meta pull their 2023 intern offers.
Credit Suisse now looks like a typical Apollo LBO asset
Extremely cheap business: With poor profitability metrics: But which could be well turned around if unprofitable divisions (e.g. IB) got spin-off and management focused on core business (e.g. Swiss Bank & WM): My thoughts and prayers to the associates who will end up on the deal team though.

CS LevFin NY vs LA
The question is in the title–I'm just curious about the pros/cons of both. Most people from my school go to CS LA for LevFin/FSG/REGAL so I'm not too familiar with the NY side of things and just wanted to get better insight into it relative to LA.

Credit Suisse - Private Growth Markets (ex-IBA), opinions?
I recently saw a job posting for a role at CS in the PGM division (part of IB). From my understanding they mainly do sell side M&A advisory for mid-market private companies. Do you know anything about this team in terms of culture/workload? Would you expect it to be sweaty like Lazard/Rothschild (I...
Credit Suisse: a neutral sweatshop?
Hi everyone, after reading the recent analysts surveys I realized that there is a bank that is often ignored online: Credit Suisse. Since I worked at CS (Europe), below you can find my review on this bank. Hours: interns are required to ALWAYS be in the office (9am-4am or worse) and they are...

Credit Suisse LA - Financial Sponsors Group
Does anyone know anything about the CS LA financial sponsors group? Hoping to get more insight regarding prestige, exit opps (specifically West Coast PE), and work/life balance. Anything would be appreciated.
CS adopting Jeffries-style bonus clawbacks?
Seen on efinancialcareers that CS will be clawing back cash bonuses if people opt into them, along with the (probably true) claim that CS bonuses will definitely be bad this year due to “2021 events”. Clawbacks may not affect juniors though.

URGENT! PLEASE HELP!! 2022 SA Credit Suisse in NYC or Piper Sandler Consumer in SF?
Ok. I know this sounds like a no-brainer to many of you, but allow me. Credit Suisse in NYC is great for obvious reasons. However, I interned at a MM Consumer PE in San Francisco in my sophomore summer, and it leaned me toward Consumer IB. I also go to school in SF and am more familiar with the...

BofA vs. Barclays vs. Citi vs. Credit Suisse
NYC offices only: From what I can gather on this site, these 4 banks have typically been in the same range in terms of exit opps and overall prestige. Credit Suisse demise - least attractive bank
Credit Suisse, once the best Swiss bank, is today barely surviving. Rumour has it that CS will be shrinking Investment Banking to increase focus on Wealth Management. The decline started well before Archegos, but Archegos losses and subsequent drop in share price (and thus drop in comp for senior...
