The mock interview felt really natural (I should know, as I failed some..), Matthew's questions and pace made me think about my answers and put me out of my comfort zone. I find his approach refreshing and help build confidence. One thing he made me realize is that having pre-studied answers, although helpful of course, is no guarentee of a good real interview. Each prospective interview will take place in its own pace, and Matthew rightfully wants the mentees to appreciate this fact. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, he is very kind.

WSO was extremely valuable to me when I was in college and looking for a job on the sell-side. It was a little less useful to me when I was looking for a public equities buyside role- as the WSO community primarily revolves around IB/PE.

The resources/guides also very helpful.

Pro: Tons of great info
Con: Lots of ego from people who don’t work in the industries (yet)

I am extremely happy with the WSO mentor service. They have a large network of experienced and knowledgeable mentors.

The website is great, but I am no longer active. Truthfully I had much more use for the service as an undergrad than I do now. Back then it was helpful as an additional source of color re: recruiting, etc., but now there’s nothing less I would like to do in my (minimal) free time than read posts about my industry. Obviously many others feel differently, this is just my $.02.
