I’m a long time (and current) user of Wall Street Oasis. As a undergrad who was focused on breaking into Investment Banking, WSO was the foundation of my knowledge and where I sourced a playbook for recruiting / interviews etc. Undoubtedly, WSO is big reason to how I made it where I am today. WSO is a fantastic community that I am still a part of but not as active anymore. Would be great if there was a lending side to the platform where we could get some useful information from lenders within the industry such as shadow inventory impacting the residential markets from a corporate lending point of view. I had a client who part of strategic debt at Chase during the 2008 collapse, it would be interesting to expand the WSO platform to incorporate a bit of residential RE considering most realtors are absolute morons from my experience. As Tom Ferry put it, "78% of the people in our industry are low level players, the only way to differentiate your self from the amateur is through education" Fantastic community of Monkeys, Apes and Baboons !

I really enjoyed this course, the fact that it has videos which guided you through all of the tasks after you have attempted them yourself is really helpful. I thought the speed of the course material was adequate, I knew most of the early lessons but quickly found myself re-learning excel 'best practises' or new techniques which I did not know about.

WSO is definitely a unique community but there are genuine people trying to help each other and others who provide a good laugh!

By far the best/most comprehensive place to get salary and career insights.

This course taught me a lot about Discounted cash flow modeling in Excel. I pretty much new what DCF is and what the real world implications are. What I hadn't done was real life analysis on companies (lack of time cause of work). This course (and the Elite modeling package I bought it with) bridged the gap between me and what I needed for the career I wanted to get into (buy-side investment advisory). Got the job and here I am. Really grateful for the WSO team for putting such a good resource out.
