Great insight and thoughtful consideration

I really enjoyed the structure of the course and all the golden nuggets in it - it builds nicely and gradually from the simple to the complex! The quizzes after each module are great to practice what was learnt. And the cheeky monkey that pops in and out every now and then makes the course more fun;)

When I was looking to get into the industry there weren’t any other websites that offered such a breadth of information in one place. There’s value to be found if you search for it. Also probably cut everyone’s reported comp numbers in half.

Best course out there, incredibly in depth technical guide and great behavioral prep

I was an investment banking analyst for 3 years and now work in private equity on the fundraising / IR side. WSO was particularly helpful for me when I was 1) considering pursuing IB as a career path while I was in college and 2) mentally preparing / anticipating my internship. I did not find the site especially useful once I was an analyst, although to be fair, I didn't really spend time trying to use the site much. The main exception to that was occasionally checking top posts when certain headlines caught my attention and I typically enjoyed reading a post or two a week. The other exception was trying to use the site when recruiting for PE in my first year as an analyst / deciding if I should recruit on-cycle or not.

Overall, I think that this is a good website, particularly because of more senior community members who are willing to give their time to help guide new and incoming analysts. One thing that always frustrated me though was not having credits to like or dislike a comment on a thread.

I use WSO daily as a trusted guide in keeping up with the financial services world and career paths available. As someone who works in investment banking, there is no better source for keeping up with news, updates, and rumors in the industry. Will be using WSO for years to come!

I came from a non-traditional background (credit investing) and wanted to break into PE. This guide walks you through the entire landscape, process and the model drills attached (combined with some drills sent to me by peers in the industry) got my up to speed fast and well. I ended up getting multiple on-cycle offers and signing with a top megafund. This guide was well worth the money.

Mentor was very forthcoming and helpful, would recommend in a heartbeat
