WSO has been a life changer for me, it was the go to resource when I was in college and there is a great community of folks from high finance.

Great site overall, incredibly helpful for all finance professionals and students if you know where to look. Plenty of spam and trolls like on any forum, but the groups are separated clearly to find what you’re looking for and there’s plenty of great content throughout.

I first joined WSO as a pre-college student. I wasn't the typical path and transferred into a competitive undergrad b-school program and have zero clue of what be a finance professional was let alone what path I'd take. I literally can't think of one place that has the depth of knowledge from a industry landscape and specific career guidance that the members of WSO posses. It's quite insane thinking that without this resource I wouldn't have one, period.

I haven't used this resource in years honestly ever since graduating but was rabidly obsessed when I really needed to learn about various things leading into my first job (interview breakdowns, resume building, prioritizing opportunities, internships, networking, industry breakdowns, etc).

But then multiple years into my function I realize I want to change and guess what resource immediately popped into my head?

I'm content focused and that alone is what made be go 5 stars. I haven't had any issues and appreciate the no holds barred (at times) culture of the members here. Just like finance, closer we are to facts/data the more we're prepared.

Just had my first session with this mentor, and it was great; he was very helpful in thinking through some tough career decisions I had to make and gave me a realistic view of what is achievable from my current position. Moreover, he went beyond our relatively short session to provide me with extra sources and content in relation to our discussion.

Overall a great experience and a very enjoyable conversation. I’m looking forward to scheduling more time with him in the near future!

This product really helped to get a deeper understanding of financial modeling than I'd had of two years on the job in corporate finance.

My resume reads incredibly different than it did prior to WSOs service. I was assigned a professional to assist with rewriting. They made it very clear how it should read and exactly what I should say. My background is extremely unconventional for finance so utilizing this service has been extremely pivotal.

This course helped me understand the complexities of bankruptcy from start to finish. University taught me about valuation and some modeling, but restructuring required an in-depth course and this was perfect!

I’ve been a WSO member since first year of university (3-4 years). I have had a great experience in both providing and receiving help on the forum with poignant advice. From which career path to consider and the day-to-day of the work to when and how to prep for consulting/finance interviews to how firms are differentiated and how the region impacts the firm. I’ve used Reddit, Fishbowl and many other forums but none compare to the quality or breadth of topics as WSO.
