Definitely not for everyone out there. Cancelled dates, going MIA for hours, no calls no texts when work is hell (again) - few tolerate which is very fair. However, in more relaxed cycles you can try to make up for it. Love or affection or whatever arises is simply not enough for relationships to be formed sustainably (espc under this circumstances). Your spouse needs to be supportive and understanding. Like 1000%. TBH, I wouldn’t date a banker so idk what this says about us lol

Speaking for (some of) the girls dating bankers: it’s tough. We both work sweaty hours, don’t see each other a lot, are stressed. But he works way more than I do. I would call myself low maintenance in the sense that I don’t expect that he messages or calls me back in X hours. I know that he will cancel our dinner date. I know that he will forget about this and that. I know that he will be in bed checking his model at 3am while I am trying to get some of his attention. What I have learned (I have dated both analysts and EDs): especially the young ones which have to make up for their imposter syndrome are „hard“ to date. And I get it, I really do. I love my boyfriend. He’s awesome smart and dedicated. But do I miss spending quality time and being his priority (we have been dating for years, prior to work)? Absolutely.
