Japanese for IB
Hi, so I’m at a target UK UG( non oxbridge in london) who is half japanese half english and almost business /native in both (native english)
I was wondering if continuing to learn japanese would be useful to potentially get internships in japan at UG level and also to potentially work there in the future.
or in general if that is possible/ the value of being bilingual +dual passport

Dual passports are probably not crucially valuable unless you want to work at US offices (regardless I know someone who was just incredible and transferred w/o it).
Generally BBs in Japan deal domestically, so learning Japanese would be a clear + if you aren't super native in Japanese.
Being bilingual is more valued in Mid/Back office roles, however more Japanese candidates are starting to speak English, and thus being bilingual is becoming a commodity.
But of course, language skills are still very much valued for 商社 or other JTCs.
