sorry if i offended you im new here
WOOD CREEK CAPITAL MANAGEMENT :: A Leader in Alternative Alternatives®
^^ has a nice ring to it.
Sounds like Duke.
Never heard of Wood Creek, but the rest of the names there are pretty stellar.
Parthenon - top notch MC, under M/B/B but not by much DC Energy - major energy player Audax - one of the best MM PE shops, ex bain cap guys Bridgewater - Major HF Laz is Laz
In terms of ranking, they are all pretty different (MC, utility trading, PE, HF, etc...) so it really depends on what you want to do.
Lazard middle market is the old Goldsmith Agio Helms. It has a strong reputation in the middle market and I am sure since they have added the Lazard name, the firm has benefited.
Audax Management - is that for their pe or mezzanine fund? Either way would be a great internship
agreed.
if it were me and i was industry/work function agnostic id go with audax > DC energy > parthenon > Laz > bwater
haven't heard good things about bwater at the junior level..
I have a friend at DC Energy and he really likes it. They recruited FT at my school and offered 80k!
I would apply everywhere I can. Once you start to go through the rounds you definitely get up to speed on who is who. And at worst you'll just be practicing your interviewing skills.
weird, i'd probably choose bwater as my first choice.
i guess thats why we dont all work at the same place.
I would pick Bridgewater too. Again, I must stress that you should get offers first and then come back to ask which to pick. Speculation is a waste of everyone's time if you only get an offer at say, DC Energy and then obviously you know where to go for your summer internship.
Bridgewater is probably the most prestigious but definitely the quirkiest culture... they also hire 10-12 SAs nationally.
