Can you compare the Margins of US Steel and Nippon in a fair manner

Hey, 

Student here with a question, was wondering if you can compare US Steels margins with Nippon considering that they (obv) don't operate in the same regions. Additionally, is there a place I can look to find steel price volatility in US vs Japan, or does that not make any sense (should look internationally). 

PS: Don't know much about industrial so if you couldn't roast me/provide me with an explanation of what I should look at that would be great.
