Need Some Guidance - IB Recruiting to AM

Hi everyone, looking for some advice/help. I was recruiting for IB and was extremely narrowminded about what I want in a career, and didn't learn about AM until now. I've been trying to read up about the different roles in AM, however I'm getting super confused because of how broad the industry is. I have a couple of questions about recruiting, prep, etc and wanted to see if anyone could help me out.

Is there a guide like the 400 Q guide for AM? Or what type of technicals should I be expecting?

Can anyone give an overview of career progression? I know in IB its analyst to associate to VP to D/MD, what's the equivalent?

Is recruiting similar to IB where you need to network? or is it more of a resume pull?

I'm specifically interested in the portfolio management side of AM and would love some guidance on anything that may seem helpful. Thank you in advance!!!!!!
