Interview
I applied for an internship with Pickering Pacific via their website and got a response within a week.

Interview process consisted of 2 rounds. The first round mainly consisted of technical questions and brainteasers. Specific questions include:

- Walk me through your resume
- Explain some of the valuation (DCF, relative, precedent transaction) methods and how do you use them
- What are some of the common relative valuation ratios used to value a private company?
- What are some of the M&A trends in Asia?
- What roles and responsibilities do you expect an entry-level analyst to have for the industry?
- Name me 5 non-financial companies that are listed on the DAX/FTSE
- What is the current price of a barrel of oil?
- How many MacDonalds are there in the US?
- How many different brands of products are there in a typical supermarket?
- How many commercial airplanes are ordered each year?
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
- What do you do for fun outside of your studies/work?

Second round consists of a one-to-one interview with the managing director of the firm. This round feels more like a "get-to-know-you" session rather than an interview, with questions about your resume and your interests. More information such as the roles and responsibilities of the previous interns will be provided here. A Mandarin language proficiency test (reading a passage) will be conducted if applicable to the candidate.
Interview Questions

Ans:
