Just wanted to bump an old thread and see if anyone has additional info on Elliott Management? Know they're pretty big in distressed debt but can anyone shed more light on the firm (ie. interview process, people, culture etc.), particularly for their HK office?

Would be great to hear any responses. Tks

They are currently only recruiting analysts of Argentine nationality with impeccable credit history (like 760 FICO or higher).

I hope to God this isn't new news to you (if it is you're f*cked for the interview), but brush up on their play on Argentina's debt. They bought it up for pennies on the dollar and are now sueing the country to make it pay. I could explain the whole thing, but there's some decent articles that explain the strategy at:

Bump - I also have an interview with Elliott and would appreciate any insights into the process. I don't have enough points to PM, but if someone could send me another way to contact them that would be great. Thanks!

Went through the ENTIRE process. Absolute nightmare:

Rounds 1-2: IQ Tests / Other Tests Round 3: In person test / interview (don't want to give away too many details) Round 4: In person case study (all materials provided) Round 5: Take home case study (distressed situation) Round 6: Meet with PM's / Partners

This whole process took 3-4 months plus and was absolutely horrendous. At the point I interviewed they hadn't hired anyone in 2 years or so. You get placed in the interview process through head hunters (Amity). Worth the interview process since the Fund is extremely big/important/awesome...just go in with low expectations.

Elliot varies in terms of where you are but the core biz is activist but the rest is more distressed / PE type bsuinesse. Their pay kinda blows

Couldn't find a more recent thread on this matter. Does anyone have any other/new information regarding the fund?

Also curious. Think they're still Amity. Saw the horror post about their brutal process (3-4 months long) above. Anyone gone through this recently and can confirm? Elliott seems just as brutal and exclusive as you'd imagine...
