Goldman Sachs PWM: Wealth Management Professional vs. Private Wealth Advisor
On the Goldman Sachs website these two job descriptions seem quite similar. Could anyone provide some insight as to the differences between these two positions i.e. daily duties and responsibilities. Ideally would love to hear from someone who worked at GS PWM or knows someone that did!! Thanks in advance
PWA is client facing sales and relationship professional in charge of portfolio. WMP executes the portfolio implementation strategy through placing the orders, ensuring guidelines are not breached, follow up with back office with any operations/accounting/etc.. issues.
Thanks!! I think what threw me off is that they say the WMP is the "main contact point" for clients or something along those lines
Wmp is the support individual who is usually more admin and client contact focused on the PWM team while the financial investment professional is more market focused. However, at most firms this line is quite blurred and the title doesn't necessarily mean you'll be doing one thing or the other.
Anyone have any info about pay? how bonuses are structured?
Anyone have any info about pay? how bonuses are structured?
It all depends on the team
Any info on London compensation for an analyst? It would be really useful to get to know the actual difference between both roles since from the above explanation it seems that WMP is like back-office. Is there like a path WMP -> PWA or something like that?
And I guess hours are different than IBD, but any insight would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Bump!
I'm curious too!
Would anyone have insight on what the compensation be for a WMP or FIP?
I have a phone interview for a GS PWM professional role. Can anyone shed some light on what to expect. Content, type of questions etc...
How did your call go? I’m hoping to have an interview soon for the same position.a Business Develpmonet Professional -associate
Did the phone interview come after the HireVue? If so, how much longer after?
I'd like some info as well
WMP is not a "glamour" job. It's more admin type of work. Think front line operations.
Typically, if you are just starting out, you want to be a Financial Analyst, not a Wealth Management Professional
