financial advisor job

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to get a job as a buy side financial analyst. I have a bachelors degree in finance from London school of economics, but have worked in sales for the last 7 years due to my inability to get a suitable analyst job. I am currently working non financial sales. (but have spent 3 years at Bank of America in sales, customer facing banking center role)
I have an interview with a company for a financial advisor role, it is no salary but allows me to keep my current job, the guy recruiting me is a money manager for the company & says the position has potential to go into an analyst role. I was wondering if you have any suggestions if this is a good direction for me to go or should I just hold out for an analyst role?

Thanks
C
