Important advice for current / future SAs

Leave your libido behind at home!

Here's what gets me to this topic. On my floor there is this SA 'couple.' Now the guy seems pretty good and he is smart diligent and everything. The woman, I not so sure about. But they hang out together almost all day long! Next to the copier, next to the fax machine. The woman also comes across to the guy's desk and just hangs around for no good reason.

First, if you idiots thought no one notices - you couldnt be more wrong. How can you be oblivious to the faces of the people around you when they see you romancing?

Second, in case you dint realize it - there are real married couples, engaged couple as well as people in steady relationships who barely go to each other's desks all day long - leave alone hang out together on the floor. You are paid a shit lot of money to work and not mate. It is highly unprofessional.

Third (especially for the guy), you otherwise look like a smart chap - what the hell are you doing? There are strict codes defining proper behavior for full timers - what makes you think that people are interested in watching the budding love of two freckly interns on the floor?

I dont know whether the two even realize all this or not, but it is indeed a shame. I wish I could go and tell them all this. I feel bad for the guy because he seems to be a promising kid but clearly he has a very poor sense of judgement with respect to appropriate professional behavior.

Guys, you are in s&t. You get out by 6 and after that you can go wherever and do whatever the hell you want to! Then why can you just divert your attention away from these things at least for the time during which you are on the floor? I am not saying you guys are not good at your work or dont do it effeciently but when everyone one is focussing on their work, two interns hanging out looks highly out of place.

Are you drunk? Please spell at least one out of five words right, dammit. Who gives a fuck if two interns want to flirt, as long as he doesn't take his cock out on the trading floor. If you are that fucking concerned, pull the guy aside and tell him to knock it off, enough said.
