Good luck, my guy!!! Here's to making MD or PE!!!
I can help you get a FT offer at my firm if ya wanna PM:
Edit: I'm going to need to work with you in person before vouching for you. Need to make sure you're the kind of fresh-faced, succulent newcomer that will do well on the desk. Important to keep yourself tight and malleable once you start the job, don't lose too much muscle, stay slim.
can u get me a job
Depends what you're wearing right now?
bro about to have the best weekend ever, go gym pump some iron on friday (do chest back and biceps), and then go clubbing after the physical and mental pump
Never thought Penguinz0 would give up Youtube and pursue finance but to each their own.
lmaoooooooooooooooooooooo
“Whats the bounty on me accepting this offer and reneging to get HR’s reaction?” …“It was a misinput- misinput! YOU CALM THE FUCK DOWN IT WAS A MISINPUT!”
His woes with US immigration holding back his esports team really fucked with his head
Nice job :)
In a similar boat - let’s go bro!
LFG congrats man. I remember how psyched I was when I got my offer.
Congrats!
I love seeing that glimmer of hope almost as much as I love watching it fade
Congrats. The only easy day was yesterday.
Chill just a job
Some people grew up in dirt poor background with only HS educated parents, zero connections, and no mentorship or guidance.
Takes years to figure things out on your own and lots of knocking down doors to get that first opportunity.
Be a little grateful for what you have.
OP Here- This is exactly the background I had funny enough lmfao. Dad had a college degree from no name school in EMEA, mom only graduated HS. Knew absolutely no one in finance, older brother had one friend who worked at UMM so he helped me a little bit, thats about it. Grinded endlessly to get into a t20 college, and when others were celebrating I was still locked in trying to figure out how this investment banking shit works. Getting this offer legitimately means that I get to dig myself out of the trenches and take my family 2 tax brackets higher. I appreciate you backing me up here
Half trolling but seriously ppl in tech sales make as much as us, the job isnt a panacea cmon now
No drug can replicate the rush of getting an offer. More addictive than crack cocaine.
Congrats brother. Time to smash the internship!
Mid reaction
Do you go to a target
Yes
congrats brother
Way to go, congrats! Now you can continue MONTHS OF GRUELING HARD WORK, MISSED CALLS FROM FAMILY, 5 LBS OF MUSCLE LOSS, AND SOCIAL LIFE DETERIORATION in the internship and hopefully full time if all goes well!
Thank you brotha. I'm especially looking forward to entering that environment again, because the difference is, I didn't get to wipe my ass with them green Ben Frank's like I will in the internship and hopefully full time!
It is nice making some money for sure, enjoy it!
Congrats g, enjoy your weekend! Hard work pays off!
congrats! As they say "it never gets easier, it only gets faster" - now the real work begins. celebrate, enjoy, and crush it
Don’t forget to post an extremely cringy and buzzword filled thank you post on LinkedIn
CONGRATSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! Hope I can also have good news soon
If there's one thing I've learnt through the hell that was these past few months recruiting for IB- the only people that don't get an offer are the ones who lose that chip on their shoulder to keep going. There's a lot of nepotism and unfair advantages in this industry, I had absolutely nothing and still got something after multiple failed attempts purely because I kept my head down and didn't take no for an answer from Wall st. You fucking got this bro I'm rooting like hell for you
lfg. let's fucking go!
Hey congrats! How long did it take and how many applications did u send out? What year r u in btw
Thanks man! The process was brutal, maybe a little more for me than others but, I started networking around November/December of last year, slowly just trying to get bankers on the call. January when most apps opened up, started ramping networking up like crazy, reaching out to ppl from analyst level to MD getting whoever I can, and also started firing out applications. In total, if I had to guess, I probably sent out a total of ~100 applications to Investment Banks, not counting apps for other roles like strategy or PE, Search funds etc. Interviews started rolling around late february/early march, and wrapped up my process legitimately 2 days ago. I'm a sophomore at target school rn
I definitely had a lot of opportunity because I go to a target school where these banks come in and give presentations/coffee chats, but even with that it was such a fucking grind lol. Learning the techs for me took forever, because I wanted a really in depth understanding and so I'd legit spend 12 hours a day going through each question on 400 q guide and searching youtube videos up on how NOLs work or difference between asset/stock purchase etc.
All in all, it's a long ass process, but one that is so fucking worth it when you get that offer dude. I'm still riding that high and I don't plan on coming down anytime soon
Glad it worked for u. U deserve it then! But u applied so early for 2025? Or was it for this summer
My guy! Big things to come! LFGGGG
Nicely done.
Congratulations, and good luck!
Anyone making this joke totally deserves a job in finance. Congrats!
Hahaha I'm really glad someone appreciates that joke. Thanks man!
Awesome!
What day is your super day, and which day of the week do they usually give out offers??? How long did you wait? Thanks!
