what's standard compensation for LMM?
Have a LMM offer coming up and don't know what compensation range is "normal"/what I could realistically try to negotiate for a ~$1B tech buyout fund. Team is lean, 2 people at each level (partner/principal/sr asso/asso). I'll be a 1st-year asso. Curious what comp ranges people are seeing for LMM firms with this AUM leve. Low, mid, high $200k? appreciate further details on breakdown of comp, too.
check out Selby Jennings comp reports...those are your best bet based on firm size, role, geo, etc..
somewhere around 250k seems to be market for 1bn. Can vary a bit higher or lower but would expect in that ballpark.
