I'm looking for mid-sized Saas companies to work at. Where do I find them?

I'm currently a CS major at a target. I'm strongly interested in the SaaS space and I'd like to learn as much as possible about the ins and outs of running a business in this industry. I'm hoping to find a FT role at a healthy, but lean SaaS company in a field like product management. Does anyone know the best place to find companies like this? My goal is to work at a company that's successful enough that I can learn a lot from competent people but also niche enough that I can see the results of my work (little bureaucracy). Appreciate the recommendations.

Tbh given the current market, I don't think there are a ton of companies that fulfill your criteria that are hiring rn. However, I would check out enterprise SaaS unicorn startups (Failory has a good list of unicorns segmented by industry, but they are slow in updating the list based on new fundraises) and see if there are any that are hiring. A lot of their employees are ex-Big Tech/MBB, so you'll definitely learn a lot, and they are usually relatively lean so you will also have more autonomy/responsibility. For context, I did work as a PM intern at a unicorn startup, but I was able to get the role in a much, much different market. Definitely keep searching and I'm sure you will find something. Best of luck!

Thanks for the advice. I have a few questions.

In what market was the startup you worked at? What will it take to get a full time offer at one of these comapanies in PM? Was networking required, and what kinds of experience and interview skills did they look for? For reference, I'm currently a junior year student so I'm thinking about opportunities for 2024 when I graduate.
