Finance major with big plans

Hi, I am a college freshman and I intend to make something of myself. I became very interested in finance about two years ago. Since then, I've read countless books and articles and have opened a Forex and and investment account for myself. I currently manage and save money with investing and trade currencies as a side income. I have the support of my grandfather in my endeavors so far, as he is a very smart business man himself. He has helped fund my trading as a learning experience for me and as an investment on his part. Several months in, and both of those things have become real. I have learned a lot and the investment is paying off. I'm in the process of joining my university's Finance club, which is opening doors for my career. What I hope to achieve is the role of hedge fund manager one day. I don't know which fund, I don't know how long it will take, and I don't have the finance industry connections that I feel will be very beneficial once I graduate. I have read around this forum and there seem to be a lot of knowledgeable people here. I need someone's guidance and inside knowledge to feed on. I am a motivated college student with a passion for the markets and I don't think I should be left behind on interview day because I didn't come from an Ivy League school and happen to have been born in a small town. That being said, I attend the University of Mississippi, which has a very impressive law and accounting school, top ten in the nation according to one article. While I'm not a drinker or a partier, I'm also not the stereotypical introvert that sits alone in his room all day. I'm a student who knows what is important and what it takes to reach my goals. Last weekend I went to New York and saw Wall Street for the first time and I love it. I definitely want to live there in a 4 years. I know this post is long-winded, but I think the people that it is meant to target will be interested and offer their help. I've seen plenty of advice on this forum, I hope I can get the same response!
