Best way to restart my career

Hello,

I want to restart my career after a 8 year gap. I have an MBA from India and briefly worked in one of the Big 4 firms in the Taxation area for a year before quitting. I have not worked since then.

Now, I want to get back to work and want to know what is the best way out. Would it be a good idea to start off by doing a CPA?

I welcome suggestions.

Thanks in Advance.
