Big 4 graduate offer withdrawn a month before start date. Absolutely crushed

Friends,

I have recently had my offer withdrawn for a non-strategy consulting role because the company is reducing the amount of work visas that they sponsor. I am already a year out of undergrad, target uni and good grade; however, no previous internships and no related work experience (I've been wiping tables while applying for jobs the whole of this year). This was my Hail Mary at getting into some sort of a decent role in finance and for 5 whole months I had it in my hands, but it seems that I am shit out of luck.

I really want to get to IB, but appreciate that I am likely out of depth with the competition. Since I only have a year left on my current visa, I am scrambling to get on something, aside from antidepressants, before I basically get deported. At the moment the most likely scenario is try land a spring/early winter entry audit gig in the Big 8 and try to work my way up from there. Some people are telling me to go for consulting entry for next summer, others are saying to go for less competitive roles at BBs and then lateraling, and some even suggest IB Summer internships and then converting to a full time role.

I am already an old dog, compared to most other graduates, and feel like my golden hour is closing by the minute. What's the most reasonable course of action here? What should I be doing to stay competitive (WSO courses? learning Pearl and Rosenbaum off by heart?). Any monkey wisdom would be greatly appreciated
