I don’t understand why people are connecting with random people to get as many followers as possible. It looks kind of tacky. What happened to having quality connections. Like a Blackstone MD with 300 connections looks more “prestigious”, if you will, than with 10,000 connections. What are your thoughts? I feel some people make LinkedIn a popularity/follower contest when they shouldn’t.
