Ranking of EBs - London Edition

About to start my stint in London and was interested in hearing some opinions on the perceived prestige lvl of the EBs.From my experience, the following seems to be the tiering

T1: PJT, PWP, CVP
T1b: LAZ, R&CO, EVR
T2: MOE, GHL

Disclaimer: Does not include EBish Shops like Q, Gugg or DC. Feel free to include

These have been done to death, I thought by now everybody knows Laz and Roth are the best EBs in LDN.

Big difference between the likes of PJT US Vs PJT UK.

take me to someone who claimed they picked rothschild over PJT and i'll show u a liar

That £80k analyst base and £10k signing bonus is hard to pass up ngl

Username: "Camembert" - I wonder what country you're from and whether it has anything to do with the two French EBs being ranked top!

Rothschild and Lazard the best for deal flow and reputation. All these other US boutiques are nowhere to be seen in the M&A league tables.

How do firms like Qatalyst, Raine and similar boutiques compare to the mentioned EBs?

It is very difficult to compare given the extreme size difference. The presence of those mentioned is nowhere near the likes of Rothschild, Laz, EVR, ect.

This being said, it might be even tougher to recruit to the shops you mentioned given their limited intakes.

Dealflow-wise they are still able to land interesting deals (i.e Raine selling both Chelsea and United)

The rank is totally BS.

Rothschild is for sure best EB. From every aspect.

Lazard is strong, but if you take a look at its revenue, it is even less than half of Evercore, though they have similar size of team. Plus a lot of deals at Lazard on EMEA league table are just done by Paris.

So I would rank Evercore as #2 in London. Maybe Paris Lazard is better than Evercore London.

Then PJT PWP Centerview guys, who are seldom active in the market, though each of them has something very top, they are still too young here and couldn’t retain a stable performance.
