Lazard Venture & Growth Banking thoughts?
Got approached by a HH to lateral to Lazard's VGB team. Mostly London based, they're expanding stateside (to Los Angeles & Austin iirc). Any insights on the group? Neat subset of companies they work with, but assume it's 90% fund-raising for massive late stage venture to growth companies. Expansion to USA is interesting, I guess the Europe business is booming. Any insights?

Juniors are pretty sh*t if I'm being honest, exp. of working with them on a process and have a school friend there. They organise a conference which is actually ok and do some BS work, which I think is 60% none value-add vs other IBD / buyside roles (says alot). Senior folk in team are actually very solid though. Would suit a very extroverted Brit from a top high school
Can you elaborate on what is the "60% none value-add work"?
Bump, looking for more insights
