Is DC Advisory the next EVR/CVP?

Hey all, I recently left Moelis for DC Advisory, and I think a lot of people on this website don't realize how great of a bank DC is and the direction the firm is moving.

The whole US business is red hot right now as DC is rapidly expanding its US presence left and right. DC Advisory has already overtaken many EBs in cross border transactions, as DC has done 39 cross border transactions in 27 different countries in the past year. Not to mention many of these deals have gone for over $1B+ (e.g., InvestorCOM, DuoTech, Evonik), and DC has many more ground breaking deals on the way. To top it all off, they are shooting up in the vault rankings and are now at 17, above the likes of Goldman Sachs and Qatalyst, showing they are already at the top of the street and coming for #1 soon...

Highly recommend joining the team, if you still can, while you can.

You have obviously not worked with DC enough. Remember in Europe calling the infra guys to talk them through their own financial models because it was always wrong. DC was the running joke in the industry. They got to where they are now by underpricing the market and the result is that they did not pay (and is still the case today). Maybe in the US there is more career evolution upside given the growth.

Monkey shit as much as you want, but that was most of my xp working with them on about 15-20 infra deals 2-3 years ago. It got annoying at some point. Though Evercore infra was no better tbh

This is clearly someone who didn't get a job at DC Advisory trying to pose as a dweeb that works for them, to encourage other people to shit on the bank and make them look bad.

OP created a burner account just to do this. There are clearly 1 or 2 people that have been consistently making comments like this on threads, about DC Advisory, to try and bait others into shitting on the bank.

I don't really give a fuck about DC Advisory, but this stuff is still annoying. OP either got dinged in an interview or thinks he doxxed someone that works there and is trying to be cute, in a cowardly way. Grow up already bud.

Worked there (albeit 5 years ago). I wouldn't say this is true during live deals or if there's an imminent pitch, but place was pretty chilled and you'd regularly see people leaving around then outside of these situations. Also depended on client and role, i.e. relatively chilled sellside process for a UK MM PE house vs. getting beasted by a UMM / MF (funds which expected BB like staffing models).

DC just announced some deep cuts apparently, I heard of 2 directors and an MD who got axed in the last couple of weeks. Not sure how that compares to other banks across the street, but I imagine it's not great news.
