Work permit for HF role in London
Currently looking to move from a Canada-based L/S HF to a UK seat in another HF (will start looking for the seat - got some intros there already). 6yrs of exp, healthcare-focused. Flipside is that I'm from HK, so I will need a work visa. Would avoid Mfin/MBA there at first as I think I'm well positioned given my firm's name and my track record.
Has anybody here managed to get it in a similar move? How easy is that from the employer's perspective and how long does it take for the visa to be approved?
Did you go to McGill/UT/UBC? If so, you automatically qualify for this visa https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/high-potential-individual-vi….
Otherwise, if you’re from HK, are you a BNO (British National Overaeas) That one allows you to apply for a BNO visa which gives you 2.5 years or 5 years and has a path to citizenship I believe
