Recruiting Full-Time After P72/Citadel/Millenium SA?
Basically title - after a summer at a top MM, anecdotally, what type of places have you seen people go? Do a lot of people recruit FT for a SM or potentially MFPE? Or do people mainly stay on FT and climb the ladder? Any insights are helpful, cheers.
Bump, interested for LDN specifically
bump as well just accepted a summer 2024 offer at one of these funds and am curious what to do FT
Also clarity on optionality if no return is helpful
Helping to bump for this too, think will be helpful
From what I’ve seen/heard:
US: MFPE, top IB groups, MBB, mid tier BB/EB
UK: whatever they can scrounge together, seen Mizuho/Macquarie types as well as MS/GS. The people I’ve seen do MS/GS were women; heard the men struggle to find anywhere to interview
.
Why do those in the UK come out so much worse?
I don’t know, maybe poorer brand awareness
Pod shop SAs skew towards Asian/international males which IME tend to do worse in UK/EMEA recruiting cos of a greater diversity focus/EU language requirement vs the US
Why would you re recruit if you can go P72 Academy FT or even Citadel CAP? Academy streamlines you onto the planform.
1) Some people don't want to do MMHF
2) If they don't get at a return offer
If your goal is HF and you’re already at HF why on earth would you re-recruit for PE or a SM HF?
Really hoping the next generation of analysts are all equally irrational
