Deciding between HSW v CBS - much difference for HF/AM roles?
Going to apply to these. Have prior 4y of exp in a <$1B Asian equities L/S SM in HK. Does placement differ much between HSW and CBS (even Tuck, Kellogg)?

Guy just listed 6 schools in like 5 different tiers lol
Generally ppl treat Hsw as same-ish tier, then cbs a level below, then kellogg/others. Core discussion im interested in is more around hsw v cbs (assuming i get admitted only to cbs)
I think Aso in PE has it right … HS > W > CBS > Kellogg > Tuck. HS for hyper competitive HF seats, W/C are good too but just a notch down. Best is to break in without having to go to an MBA program …
CBS good for HF
Go to HSW
HS>W>>CBS>>>>Kellogg for HF
HSWC >>>Kellogg for AM
Know people who went through the process at each.
If you have pre-MBA experience in L/S like you say, CBS (esp if you get in to the VI program) will place well into HF.
Went to CBS and many of my classmates wound up in good SM L/S seats and lots of alumni are at tiger cubs, etc. so the networking opportunity is there if you can demonstrate that you’re capable.
