LEK vs S& vs Deloitte S&A

Fortunate enough to have offers from all three. All in the same city. How do they differ in terms of prestige/exit ops/mba placement. Also where is the culture and work most interesting.

Mostly interested in strategy and could be interested in PE as well. I am not sure if PE is what I want but the option would be nice. Can anyone offer some advice please?

Yeah leaning toward S& vs LEK but heard the culture at S& is pretty bad. How come you say S&?

I've heard bad things second hand from friends at S& rn and they have ventured into some staff aug type projects especially during covid (I've heard of consultants doing manual loan processing and whatnot) so just make sure you are in a good group if you are going that route.

From my experience I have enjoyed interacting with LEK people the most. They're usually pretty chill, laid back, ready to have a good time. I also found them the sharpest of the three companies. Deloitte isn't really as prestigious and S& is lackluster. I'd say LEK is definitely your best bet and they're pretty well regarded in PE if that's your interest.

What group would this be for S&? Deals Strategy would keep the option of PE open, and the group also anecdotally has a pretty good culture and is growing fast. Not sure if the other verticals would be as good of a fit if you're looking to potentially exit into PE

S& > LEK >>>> Deloitte imo. Can't go wrong with the first two - but Deloitte has just devolved into this underpaid mess ever since they got rid of the S&O function. I rank S& slightly higher than LEK because they pay better and WLB is more sustainable. If you're gunning for PE as you're #1 goal, then make sure you try and do Deals Strategy in S&, otherwise would pick LEK as the other S& functions are definitely more variable in terms of your experience

I've spoken with an ex-s& partner who felt that the PwC acquisition really hurt the brand. He thought the culture became quite bad (much more of a "big corporate" feel) and the work wasn't as high quality since the goal of their strategy output is to drum up more business for operations teams in the main PwC divisions. Just his opinions tho
