Private Debt Salary - London
Hi everyone
I'm doing a 6-month internship at global pension fund in London within the Private Debt/Direct lending team. I wanna convert it into a FT opportunity and was wondering if anyone in London within the industry had an idea of the pay scale (base + bonus). I graduated from a target school in Canada in 2019 + I converted a previous internship at the same firm into another one in the Private Debt team.
Thank you in advance
Hey frenchfrie, the following topics might be helpful:

bump - anyone know the answer?
Yep - from my experience (+2y in the space in London) and discussion with HHs / friends in the sector:
- Analyst: base between £65-80k, bonus 75-100%
- Asso: base between £85-110k, bonus 90-150%
Range is quite wide depending on the fund (and that's excluding any carried for those offering it to junior employees)
Looks like a decent number.
90% of answer saw from the website is much lower than this, dont know why.
As you graduated in 2019 and the market is currently high, I feel it’s safe to say that you should seek >£100,000.00 as your annual salary. Taking a position without compensation beyond that threshold might designate your CV as cheap, this designation would compound throughout your career - wouldn’t matter how great of an asset to any employer you may happen to be.
Salary 50-60k with 50% bonus
