Fixed Income vs Equity Research Intern Role

I am a Sophomore at a Semi-Target looking to get into a career in asset management; there is a boutique firm I'm interviewing with for both Equity Research and Fixed Income and think there is a solid chance I get both roles and will have to pick. I was just wondering what people in the field would say is better to go into, for career progression, salary, and work life balance
