1 on 1 Interview
Background Check
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
1st Round: On campus interview. Combination of basic technicals and behavorials. Format 2 on 1.
2nd Round: 12 persons interviewed for 5 spots. Combination of technicals and behaviorals. Three 2 on 1 interviews back-to-back. Overall not very difficult. Night before there was a dinner reception for 2.5 hours. Don't be any idiot and talk to as many Wells people as possible.
Received offer within two days of final round interviews had weekend to accept.
The technicals are different from IB, more focused on credit analysis in terms of financial statements. I.E. know debt side of balance sheet and understand cashflows. Also because energy focused, questions geared around energy knowledge and willingness to learn industry.
