Equity Analyst

Open ended phone interview asking why I felt my background was appropriate for the position. I had initially indicated to a friend who was a director that I was interested in pursuing opportunities in banking. I then received a phone call from a recruiter, which caught me pretty off guard and basically cost me any chance at being competitive. I prefer to do extensive preparation for interviews, and was not expecting the call.
