Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I was recommended by an AD. I talked to the ED who wanted to hire me. I had a phone interview that focused on my personality and my resume. She wanted to know whether I could adapt quickly to the environment on the trading floor.
The people at UBS are very open and sharp. Depending which department you work, you get a different employee culture. Fortunately, where I was located allowed me to mingle with other departments that had interns. Since my bosses were buddies with everyone there, I befriended many employees. Face time is not required.
