Summer Analyst

I was referred to the position by another associate that currently works at the company. He had connections to upper management and eventually I was contacted for a phone interview. The phone interview lasted approximately 20 minutes and was very basic. Some technical questions and probably a little more behavioural questions that were relatively easy to answer. 2 weeks later I came in for an interview that lasted approximately 45 minutes. Again, there were technical and behaviour questions although they were much harder this time and included two brainteasers that I both couldn't answer. Afterwards, I was told that I would be contacted within a week if I got the position. Unfortunately, I was never contacted. My advice to other candidates is not be deceived by the easy phone interview, as the real interview includes much more difficult technical questions.
