Investment Banking Analyst

Applied through on-campus recruiting. The first interview was in Montreal (where I went to school) with 3 members of the organization (all bankers). Of the ~12 that interviewed in Montreal, 3 were given passes to Toronto. The first interview was a mix of mostly fit questions with a few accounting questions sprinkled in - they were concerned with fit more than anything, but wanted to ensure you were competent. There was also a cocktail in Montreal where candidates could mingle with the Montreal office. The final round "Super Saturday" in Toronto consisted of 6 one-on-one interviews over the course of either the morning or afternoon - mine was the afternoon as I had other interviews in the morning. Each of the 6 interviewer were different - some were analysts/associates, some were MDs one was an HR rep. Depending on who interviewed you, the degree of fit/technical questions fluctuated. There was also a cocktail in Toronto the Friday evening. I received my offer from the HR rep ~1 hour after my final interview. As part of the offer, they flew me back from Montreal to Toronto the following week for sell night where we had a nice dinner and bottle service at a club (mostly with junior bankers). I accepted the offer on the following weekend.
