Quant summer intern

The company recruits actively on my college campus and did multiple information sessions throughout winter. I attended all the sessions and also went on a school sponsored trip to the firm's headquarters. I began building relationships by attending these events. I also reached out to an alumnus at the firm and he was able to refer me to his friend who was interviewing for a quant summer intern position. After the referral, I was promptly contacted about a phone interview. The interviewer was very polite and called on time. The day after the phone screen interview, I was invited to do a series of in person interviews. I did a total of four, 45 minute interviews with members of the risk group. All the members of the group were welcoming and made me feel comfortable during the process. The office was quite, comparable to a library setting, and felt inviting. I was offered the position the day after my in person interviews. Overall, the process we very direct and efficient and I was satisfied with the outcome.
